Case Study 01
Colocated 63 MWp PV, 115 MWh BESS in eastern Hungary.
A 63 MWp utility-scale PV asset with multi-phase battery-storage integration in Hungary, supported through senior technical advisory spanning development, engineering, commissioning, technical review and operational optimisation.
Project Summary
Hybrid complexity managed from the client side.
This case reflects a utility-scale hybrid asset built around a 63 MWp PV plant, an operational 20 MW / about 41 MWh storage system and a further 18.75 MW / 75 MWh expansion phase under development.
The assignment environment called for long-horizon technical continuity rather than one-off review work: support from project conception through delivery and commissioning, followed by technical review support, hybrid optimisation and system expansion.
63 MWp PV with multi-phase BESS integration totaling more than 100 MWh
Development, commissioning, operational optimisation and expansion support
Senior technical advisory across engineering, technical review, commissioning and optimisation
Client Challenge
Multiple interfaces, one technically coherent outcome.
A hybrid project of this type creates pressure at several levels at once: PV delivery quality, staged BESS integration, supplier-interface change across phases, commissioning methodology, operational strategy and the technical basis needed for independent review and external assessment.
The challenge is not only to build the asset, but to keep design intent, construction execution, performance validation and future expansion on a technically coherent path.
Scope of Support
Focused technical visibility where it matters most.
- Senior technical support from concept and development through construction and commissioning
- Technical validation of PV and multi-phase BESS integration, including changing supplier interfaces
- Support on engineering inputs, EPC review and implementation alignment
- Technical input and validation support for project-review material and external assessment
- Operational and O&M optimisation support for the hybrid asset after commissioning
Selected Evidence
Wide context, field detail and commissioning reality.
The available material shows broad site context, winter-condition BESS visibility, rack-level commissioning scenes and implementation evidence consistent with a live hybrid asset and multi-phase storage build-out.
Value Created
Better visibility during execution and handover.
- Stronger continuity between development, delivery, commissioning and later expansion phases
- Better technical basis for project review and completion-stage assessment
- Clearer integration logic across PV, operational BESS scope and planned expansion
- Practical bridge between field reality, technical documentation and long-term asset optimisation
